Some projects I have worked on, mostly related to numerical methods for PDEs and scientific computing.

Final project for AMCS 312 at KAUST (High Performance Computing): A numerical sttudy of the circular hydraulic jump using the shallow water equations with a 4th-order viscosity term. The equations are discretized on a polar grid with a semi-implicit hybrid finite volume-finite difference scheme. We validate the solver on radially symmmetric tests against one-dimensional highly accurate solutions. The vanishing viscosity limit is studied for a circular hydraulic jump. Scalability tests are performed up to 1024 cores on the Ibex cluster at KAUST.
